Own a part of Graniteville’s history – Hickman Hall - listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1907 by H.H. Hickman, the second president of the Graniteville Manufacturing Company, originally as a community center for its employees. The goal was to provide employees with access to a number of amenities including a pool, bowling alley, library and dance hall “for the pleasure of all the people”, as the plaque on the façade immortalizes. The ground floor contains two large reception/waiting areas, five offices, two large/open offices/conference rooms, two individual ADA bathrooms, galley kitchen, , ample storage and janitorial closets, all temperature controlled by split HVAC units. The second floor is mainly a large open plan with beautiful hardwood floors, high ceilings and wonderful light filled rooms. There are power outlets in the floors to allow for desks and workstations. Two communal style bathrooms with two stalls in one and one stall and urinal in the other. A second galley kitchen is on this floor along with a large conference room and large executive size office. Additional storage, janitorial and mechanical rooms are also on this level. In the center of the building is a beautiful staircase that unites all three levels. There is ramp access off the south side of the building from the parking area directly to the second floor as well as an elevator to access all levels. The third floor is also mainly an open floor plan with more hardwood flooring, restored beadboard wainscoting, stunning coffered ceilings with wood-stained beadboard and beams, large windows and high ceilings to create a beautiful sunlit space. A large area near one of the two restored (but only decorative) fireplaces adds some texture to this level and another small kitchen is centrally located nearby. Two more individual bathrooms are on this level along with two offices (the large containing the second decorative fireplace) both carpeted with open ceilings. Additional mechanical, storage and janitorial closets add to the functionality of this remarkable property. The second and third floors are temperature controlled by HVAC condensing units. Parking is located off of Canal St and includes 12 spaces.
