New carpet and flooring is a simple upgrade and an easy way to improve your space.  For most commercial  carpet  needs, look for “solution dyed” nylon product that are durable and can stand up to heavy cleaning.  New flooring can be installed within 2 weeks, but if you have special needs allow up to 2 months.

• Be ready to provide square footage estimates, but don’t bother taking detailed measurements yourself. A good flooring contractor will want to walk the space to gather specifics.
• Consider whether you need special flooring in high traffic or “wet” areas.  Ask contractors for local flooring codes for kitchen and bathroom areas.
• Ask your landlord for a flooring allowance which you can put toward the carpet of your choice.
