This seems to be a popular quote these days. Whether you are talking about stocks, real estate or really anything right now (even the Niners), optimism seems to be a popular player. I recently saw this quote in an article from the New York Times titled "End Seen to New York Building Boom", which, from the title does not seem very optimistic. I do agree that right now, "you've just got to be optimistic". Yea we are in the middle of a huge financial meltdown and yea home prices have dropped drastically, but in my opinion, in can only get better. I know there is all this "doome & gloom" on just about every news channel and website you see, but remember, they thrive on bad news, it is their business. The worse they make it sound, the better their ratings will be.
I think what we, as americans, really need to learn from this crisis and grow as a country or history will definitely repeat itself as we recently found out. Sit down and think about your current financial situation and make a plan for living within your means. Be optimistic about your future because nobody controls it but you.
