Most small companies provide snack & beverages to their employees to some extent. Whether that's coffee and apples or bottled water and cookies, most companies now-a-days tend to do it. it boosts the morale of the office and keeps 'em working hard. If you happen to purchase your business groceries from Safeway, I came across an article in the SF Business Times that talked about a program that will save you some money on gas purchases
by buying groceries from Safeway. The program is called PowerPump:
"PowerPump allows customers who spend at least $100 on any merchandise in Safeway stores, including gift cards for other retailers, to become eligible for discounts of 10 cents per gallon on either single or multiple transactions at Safeway gas stations. At BP and ARCO, customers will earn $1.50 toward a fuel purchase at BP and ARCO stations for every $100 they spend at any of the 1,743 Safeway-operated supermarkets nationwide."
Seems like a good deal to me. Especially if you are a business that relies on driving. By feeding your employees, you will save on gas.
