Do Not Throw Your Used Electronics Away!

Posted by BldngExprt    10.09.2008 05:47 PM

You: "What am I supposed to do with all of these old, outdated electronics that my company is replacing?"  I am glad you asked that question.  There are many ways to recycle, not throw out, these fossils.  The best way to recycle these, unless you have a local recycling program, is to take part in Hewlett Packard's new mail-in recycling program.  A recent article in GreenBiz.com says: "For a fee that varies from $13 to $34, depending on the item and the quantity, HP says it would take back and recycle any personal computer, monitor, printer or server, scanner, fax machine, and network equipment.  HP arranges to have the products shipped via United Parcel Service after customers pay

with a credit card and box the waste themselves."  How easy does that sound?  Pretty damn easy.

If you have some old computers, scanner, fax machines, etc. lying around, please recycle them.
