An easy number for budget purposes would be $250/per Cat5E cable or $300/per Cat6 cable. Of course there are more questions that will need to be answered which will help bring that number down to a fix cost for the entire installation. In regards to a time line, an office space of 10 to 40 people can be cabled in a week or five working days. I say working days as sometimes the cabling contractor needs to work around the other trades (paint, ceilings, carpet, etc.) and will need to do part on the job and then come back to finish up. If you need help with design and/or budgets, please contact me at any timeā¦Sean Canon, IDEX - 415.299.9449 (scanon@idexglobal.com) |

The quick answer is about $100.00 a run. You will need to get a bid to be sure. There are many things that could make it go up or down, but that should be close. Time frame depends on the # of runs, and scheduling of conflicts. 10 runs/ day (no conflicts) easily. All part of a bid. More importantly find a company who knows what they are doing. The installation of the network has more to do with Network speed than the components used. For instance: a computer guy, and an electrician may think its similar enough to what they do, but it's not necessarily so. Have them certify the wire speed. Also make sure they are properly licensed so as to not get you in trouble.
