• This Bar and Grill has been a fixture in Pensacola since 1998. The current owner’s late husband operated the bar with beer and wine license from 1998 to 2005 and closed the bar due to health issues.
• In 2008, the bar was remodeled and a restaurant area was added in the back. In addition, a back deck and Bar were constructed. At that time, the plumbing system was upgraded by removing the septic tank and installing a sewer system and lift station. There were no sewer systems in the neighborhood at that time. This system was built to accommodate a restaurant of more than 150 customers.
• With the building complete, a 4 COP liquor license was purchased and the Bar and Grill resumed operations in October 2009.
• In April 2011 central air conditioning was added to the restaurant area and the attic was insulated.
• The hours of operation are from Noon -2:00 AM Monday through Saturday. In the summer, the hours are from 5:00 PM - Midnight on Sundays. The kitchen is open from Noon to 9 pm, Monday through Saturday and closed on Sunday.
• There are two operating shifts: 11:30 AM to 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM to 2:00 AM. The night shift operates with 2 people, the bartender and a shift manager or bar-back. During the day, the bartender works without a bar-back and the kitchen staff is on site. The kitchen operates with one employee.
• The Bar and Grill has live music every Saturday night from 8- 12 and on Fridays twice a month. Every other Tuesday beginning at 7:00 PM is Open Mic night.
• Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 4 – 6:30 and includes $2 domestic beer and $2.50 well drinks. On Tuesdays, there are $2 well and $2 domestic beer all day. Thursday is ladies night with $2 well and $1.00 off on premium. The offer 10% off active duty military. Employees get their drinks for ½ price.
• Bar and Grill currently leases the kitchen out to a third party. The kitchen is leased out for $240 per week. Owner collects all food sales and reimburses kitchen tenant sales less rent less sales tax. Kitchen tenant only responsible for maintaining kitchen area
• Bar and Grill does not use a POS system (just a standard cash register)
• The business is for sale due to owner passing away. His wife and son had never been in the bar business and do not have the experience or expertise to properly operate the business.
